Collection: Xiao Wang

Xiao Wang is a figurative oil painter who works with dramatic colors and thin glazes to render realistic landscapes and figures. His work reimagines the tradition of romanticism and explores the dynamics between landscape, power, expression. Wang depicts plants as uncanny, sublime, and supernatural beings, while simultaneously portraying human figures with feelings of confusion and resignation. Wang has shown his work internationally in Europe and the United States and has been featured in publications such as Juxtapoz Magazine, Hi-Fructose Magazine, Create Magazine, and New American Paintings. He currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
